Update

I feel the need to clarify some things because I am getting some crazy off the wall messages about what happened last night.

YES, I was in the hospital last night (3/20/14) - as I was driving to work there was a sudden pounding in my right temple then a "POP" - kinda like when someone hits you with a rubber band. I drove myself to the ER, not sure how I got there but I did. They had a hard time getting an IV started because I was severely dehydrated. After a CT scan, the doctor wanted to perform a SPINAL TAP.

I was upset yes, but I DID NOT FREAK OUT.

I sat quietly and contemplated the options, made a call to my sister Barbara and spoke to her about it and texted my sister in law Christy and she came to the hospital. I agreed to have it done to be safe then sorry - the doctor was looking for blood on my brain because of the circumstances that brought me to the hospital were NOT NORMAL and there was a 3% chance that there could have been blood that the CT scan didn't detect. The test came back negative for blood, so they sent me home.

Yes, my head still hurts.

Yes I hurt from the spinal tap.

Yes, I have slept all day

Once again thank you to Candi for being there for me and to my sister in law, Christy. There were no dramatics from me, no hysteria or freak outs. It is what it is - something crazy that the medical world can't explain.

Thanks to my brother Jim for bringing my car home from the hospital for me last night too!
